What’s mumate?
mumate is a community that’s helping you do the right thing with your creativite output: getting it to the people!
You are a musician, artist, painter, photographer, writer or just an innovative person? Get your account and share your work…
Of course you can also join, even if you’re not an “artist”. Everyone is invited to sit back and watch what other people are capable of doing and enjoy their creative outcome.
Musicians can upload their recordings and present them – or even get other mumates to help them record new songs or edited existing ones.
Everyone creating images (be it digitally or using the good old camera) can share their pictures in the art-gallery and writers are more than welcome to use their own lyric-blog.
Even if you’re not an artist by classical means: Your lifestyle’s gotta be on mumate!
Login
Just click on “register” and follow the steps. E-mail address, mumate name and your password are enough information so for now. You will receive an e-mail to confirm the registration with a verification link. This link will lead you directly to your mumate account.
Edit your profil
Of course you should add further information, so everybody knows what you’re here for.
Clicking on “edit profile” will show you all the details.
Once that’s done, you can change your privacy settings in your “account” settings.
Music
Go to the “music” menu to upload and describe your songs. Be as specific as possible, so the other mumates can find your songs, work on or simply listen to them. You can also select, if you want people to be able to upload your songs or not. Don’t forget: Only upload original songs! No songs by other artists please.
Art-gallery
The art-gallery is just as simple. Choose your image from your hard disc, upload and describe it. Later you can re-edit or delete your pictures by clicking the two arrows “>>” underneath the picture.
Lyric blog
Everyone who has already seen a blog will know how to handle it. Here you can share your lyrics, short stories or even keep a diary up and running. You can even embed videos into your lyric blog. Copy the “embed” link (youtube, etc) to the right position in your lyric blog. Your last blog entry will be displayed in your profile.
By selecting “read all”, the other mumates will be able to view all of your blog entries. They can even “subscribe” to your blog, so they will be reminded, when you create a new entry.
Groups
Groups are small interactive forums/boards where the user get together and share their experiences. Search for an existing group or create your own!
Videos
Videos can also be integrated into your profile. Upload your video to youtube, etc. After that copy the “embed” link into your lyric blog. The last blog entry will be displayed in your profile.
Mumate finder
The mumate finder will help you to find mumates with similar taste and interests. The closer the mumates surround you, the more likely they could be of interest to you.
By clicking the mumate “head” beside the other mumate’s names, this mumate will become the center of the mumate finder and profiles similar to his will be displayed. By clicking on a mumate name, you will go straight to his profile.
